As always, the parts that I could figure out myself were clever and intuitive, and the parts I couldn't were arbitrary and intentionally frustrating.

Or so I tell myself, each time one of these things appears. Good stuff!

Strange, winning made me feel like a loser.

This one's trickier than the others, since your choices aren't diminished as you proceed. You have to pick some of them multiple times to win.

Numbering from left to right, the solution (use www.rot13.com to decode):
Sbhegu, Svsgu, Fvkgu, Sbhegu, Guveq, Sbhegu, Svefg, Frpbaq, Guveq, Svsgu

Holy crap, he remade the original GROW, adding a secret ending!

Is there some way to give this guy money? He's given me many hours more entertainment than, say, going to most movies.

Buy Dwarf Complete.

empath: I don't think so. Which is okay I think, it's hard enough to design these things as it is, I expect.

This one's definitely a winner.

uh. There's a "Donate" button right on the game there. Lower left corner. Takes you to here.

Almost every grow game I cheat at at some point. I really enjoy them for a few minutes and then I get fed up with the game and just want to see everything come together. There is a certain amount of arbitrariness built into the essential fabric of the game. Initially there is no great reason why a user should see fit to hit one spot over another spot. There's no good reason why certain things will happen or not. Sometimes there are clues other times the only clue is that there has to be some reason for a certain phenomenon. I'm not saying that things should be different from how they are, that exploratory aspect, the seeing the little animations and red herrings that are thrown your way are all part of the appeal. It's just not enough to keep my interest to the end that requires performing a guess and check with the same 7 cute animations playing out identically over and over looking for the little tweak that will make everything come together. So I cheat. Because I like the game better when I cheat.

What I like about these is that if I come back to them a year later, I forget how they all work and i get to try and figure them out from scratch again.

Oh no! Come on, it's my son's first day back at school. I had so much I wanted to do today!

So I'll play for ten minutes and then find a walkthrough.

Sbhegu, Svsgu, Fvkgu, Sbhegu, Guveq, Sbhegu, Svefg, Frpbaq, Guveq, Svsgu

That's not as encrypted as you may think. As I now know that the second one is the same as the last one, etc. Kinda spoiled.

That's the first grow I've ever gotten to the all-max ending on my own for, although I did luck out and discover the dragon, the wand, etc on the first try. Does anybody know if this has an alternate ending? Something about a teddy bear with 4 heads....
