Olympic Sled Dogs Killed in Whistler

During the Vancouver/Whistler Winter Olympics last year, one company thought that it would be a good idea to offer dog-sled rides to tourists. Finding themselves with an uneconomical number of huskies after the rush of the Olympics, the company decided to kill at least seventy of the dogs. The methods used were less than humane, and charges are being considered.

On the very same day that that article came out, one of the local papers came out with this piece promoting the Whistler company.
