How this has not been posted at MeFi baffles me. No, not because it is a wonderful collaborative site that shares unique stories about NYC using a navigable map, but rather because I can't figure out where I found the link if it was not here(i searched, thoroughly). Also, as a petty sidenote, I wonder if they are willing to accept collaborative design submissions.....

Camworld had a link to it many months ago, though I can't find it there now, and I've linked to it on occasion from World New York. Perhaps one of those...

It is a tremendously rewarding site, strictly because of the content. I puke on the presentation, however: stories popping up in tiny boxes forcing you to scroll, scroll, scroll and making it more difficult to link directly to them rather than a contents page.

Interesting site, but I still don't care about what happens to people in New York city.

Anybody else getting tired of link descriptions that preface themselves with 'can't believe this hasn't been on MeFi' or pathetic 'I've searched for the link and can't find it - please don't kill me for posting it' comments?

Enuff of the gross exaggerations of mild surprise and ingratiating apologies, donkeysuck - just post the damn link already.

Interesting concept, but are there really that many New Yorkers around here?

Here's a hot idea:
Try posting at least one link of your own before criticizing the way other people post links.

"All you need is one" was posted two times.
But 1 times 1 is still one.
I'm confused.

Tangent: it's somewhat surprising that NYC doesn't have very many good, non-big media local Web sites. Chowhound, yes, but what else?

Ever criticised a President? Wait a minute - you've already been down that road. Twit.

I criticise art, but I'm not an artist. I criticise movies, but I'm not a producer. I criticise restaurants, but I'm not a chef. I'm a CONSUMER, and I'll criticise whatever the fuck I feel like, thanks.

Blurk - that road, even.

perhaps if people didn't react in this manner, people posting would not have to feel the need to launch a pre-emptive strike against it.

perhaps your fuckall attitude is just your way of getting into the new yorker vibe of the stories at mr. beller's.

that's the spirit!!

via metatalk?

if not, what a wacky coincidence that both donkeysuck and i were thinking of the same site on the same day. great minds and all that, eh?

ooooh, snap!

september 10 & january 10 are not the same day.

but that doesn't take away from donkeysuck and i being great minds. or perhaps it does, at least in my case.
