Infographic Apotheosis

99% Invisible is a quick hit public radio show about design by producer Roman Mars. The show recently kicked off its second season with a look at the periodic table (the "infographic apotheosis"), but season one includes episodes on maps, designing human habitats in space, city flags, semi-private public space, blind architect Chris Downey and more.

Mars also works on REMIX Radio. You may have seen his incredible story on the logistical appeal of a one-way human trip to Mars on Boing Boing.

Ye old iPhone says "cannot be played on this iphone" and "this movie format is not supported". Sigh.

Huh? My iTunes on my Windows machine can see the link to the podcast in the store, but clicking the Subscribe link, it does [almost] nothing! I see 99% Invisible in my list of podcasts but no actual episodes, but the error message says that there are no playable episodes available. "The URL may point to text-only episodes, or contain file types that iTunes cannot play."

Is anyone else getting this in iTunes?

It looks like the podcast provider (Podbean) is down at the moment. Not sure if we horked it. In the meantime, all the episodes are available for direct download or stream off the site.

I got this podcast from a tweet by Mary Roach. I listened to about half the available episodes last night and I really enjoyed it. Most of the episodes are under 5 minutes so it's really good for short attention spans.

If you can't find the podcasts for 99% invisible on itunes, just go directly to Roman's website,

You can listen to everything from 2010 and start the New Year out right, by listening to the first podcast of the season. You will find that Roman offers information that is educational and entertaining. Good Job, Roman. Thank you for all your hard work. It is obvious how much you put into each show.
