It was a picture of the World Trade Centers titled: "Pictures of the World Trade Center Towers, Pre-Explosion"

Starting Bid was $100

A couple of hours ago I received this email from Nicholas Longo, the CEO of CoffeeCup Software, which make a popular HTML editor. He wrote, in part: "We would like to also say on record that if any country is found responsible for these attacks, we call for that country's complete destruction and annihilation."

(This is posted elsewhere on the site as well)

Regading AVIS, I sent a message to one of those listed on their site for press queries, regarding price gouging:

Q: There are rumors that Avis increased its rental rates (by 100% or more) as soon as the NYC tragedy took place on 11-September. Is this true?

Here is the response from Mr. Fuller at Avis:

"At 9 a.m. yesterday Avis froze its prices at all U.S. locations and waived drop-off fees for one way rentals to help peple who needed to drive one-way to a destination because airports were closed."

If this was the case, it was a nice reaction from the company, so unless someone has specific information to the contrary, we shouldn't slam them...
