I got the same email to two different accounts, I don't remember every downloading their product or giving their email. I did find the note to be a pretty stupid idea, but he was probably just as shocked and confused as everyone else.

(This is posted elsewhere on the site as well) Regading AVIS, I sent a message to one of those listed on their site for press queries, regarding price gouging: Q: There are rumors that Avis increased its rental rates (by 100% or more) as soon as the NYC tragedy took place on 11-September. Is this true? Here is the response from Mr. Fuller at Avis: "At 9 a.m. yesterday Avis froze its prices at all U.S. locations and waived drop-off fees for one way rentals to help peple who needed to drive one-way to a destination because airports were closed." If this was the case, it was a nice reaction from the company, so unless someone has specific information to the contrary, we shouldn't slam them...
