Recreating Mills & Boon romance covers, one passionate moment at a time.

Mills & Boon, a romance publisher based in the U.K., is owned by Harlequin (Link somewhat NSFW).

While avid readers confess their love of Mills & Boon online, many readers might not know that their covers seem to have become quite fashionable. In 2008, the Guardian presented a century's worth of covers.

The artist who is recreating these covers, Alex, also has an interactive online picture book "about the moment in a relationship when you realize you don't love someone completely."

Erotic literature previously on the Blue.

I'm reminded of the "reimagined" romance covers here - my favorite being Lord of the Tube Socks (scroll down).

Her transformations are great - Mr. Boyfriend on the other hand, seems to be lacking commitment.

But not to his beard. He is fully committed to that.

It is, of course, illegal to mention romance novels without mentioning Smart Bitches, Trashy Books.
