Yes, at first I was like "Awww, this is adorable." Then I got to the part about her favorite decades and was like "Awww, this can't be real." It reads how we imagine a 96-year-old would feel reminiscing about the past century.
Then again, every now and then our imaginations are spot-on.

My 98 year old father in law said, "Well, we smoked it when it wasn't illegal, then we stopped smoking it when they made it illegal and we'll start smoking it again when it is [legal]." He was a musician.
My 88 year old dad just started ranting about communists and hippies when asked for his input. He was career USAF.
