Why are you on my train?

Two ladies in NYC interview random people in the subway system. New Yorkers oblige with interesting takes on tipping, gross behavior, musical talent, and rap lyrics (these two guys were featured in this MeFi post last year).

That happy smiling cheerful couple must be from out of town.

I mean who talks to strangers on public transport?

This is terrific. And making me homesick.

One of the lady interviewers seems like she's a lot more patient and genuine than the other. The other has a voice that makes me click the X. Definitely less talking by the film-makers. Is what I would suggest if anyone cared to hear me snark. Which you do not.

On the whole, YAY FOR POSITIVITY AND CONNECTION THOUGH.

Unfortunately, Peter Griffin. Ugh, how do we get these ads taken down?

Plus, if you're Werner Herzog, you could be packing.

Obligatory Werner Herzog story, narrated by the man himself. The fact that it features Joaquin Phoenix, in full on Grizzly Adams mode, makes it even more delicious.

Back on topic: I really enjoy these types of (wo)man on the street interviews. (The booger story made me wanna hurl though! ) Thanks for the link, educatedslacker.

Because I want to learn how to move things, like living people do, and I won't leave until you teach me.

I was with the brothers on tipping until they went stereotypical by mentioning strippers. That was where the, "Hey, finally a cogent argument on tipping I can link other people to!" went out the window.
