www.worldtradecenterbombing.com, .net, .org have been registered. For what purposes, I don't know. I've been wondering if anti-arabic domains, other similar WTC-style domains and if register.com, namezero, etc. have the capability to deny or register for themselves such sites. Whether for hatred purposes or, as vile as it sounds, for $ purposes. I guessing no. And I hope the site above was registered to keep it out of the hands of someone with less than virtuous ideals.

unfortunately, it seems as though it was for money. I posted an ebay link earlier and the domain was on auction for $5000. Sad indeed. I think I have a screen shot.

I can't remember if I posted here to mention that worldtradecenter.com has been bought with an expressed intention for the domain to be eventually used as a memorial or for another "suitable purpose." A memorial sounds about right.

I think the one on ebay was worldtradecenterdisaster.com. Or maybe it was both.

yeah, unfortunately even in a time like this, people can think of nothing but money and how to better themselves at the expense of others. Sometimes people make me sick.

Has anyone else called then phone number provided in the domain name registry information? I called a few minutes ago, the phone was answered "Mail Warehouse, hold please." and I was put on hold. I'm at work, so I can't stay on the phone long, and I hung up. I'm not entirely clear about what was said when I called, although it sounded very much like 'Mail Warehouse."

Why are you calling these people? You have no idea if they're even trying to make money off the domain?
