President Obama releases his birth certificate.

Partly in response to Donald Trump's grand theories about the President's supposedly "missing birth certificate," with an expressed desire to move past an issue which is "bad for the American people and distracting from the many challenges we face as a country," the White House made the long-form birth certificate available today.

I hate to say it, but I tried the same thing. There's a birther remark a little bit down the page that I didn't notice. So this is kind of a tripple...

Won't change the minds of fucking inbred idiots across the country who will just find some reason to claim it forged/faked/whatever-fucking stupid reason to keep this relevant.

Can we not entertain these fucking uneducated fucks and focus on the real problems?

Eh, posted this on the other thread. Trump pats himself on the back, demonstrating that birthers who do change their minds will just smugly say that they successfully held the President accountable to the people.

Is the release of this document going to turn Obama into a white male from the South? No? Then the "controversy" will continue. This was never about where he was born.

I actually really liked the (extremely) brief message the President gave this morning.

He broke into the networks with a short press conference to call the whole kerfluffle just "silliness" and basically said that, although he was originally "bemused" by the whole "where's his birth certificate" controversy, he, as President of the United States, had a lot more important issues on his mind. And, you know, he's been busy. But since the media hasn't stopped giving this issue attention, he figured he'd just go ahead and get this out of the way once and for all so that he and the American people can get on with the real work to be done.

Well done.

Whew!!! That is a load off of my mind. I was afraid that our country was being led by someone who wasn't born on our precious soil and/or didn't have a birth certificate.

You know, I'm not a big fan of Mr. Trump's, but you've got to respect the way he pissed away his own political viability just to end this non-issue once and for all. What a selfless, honorable man.
