I don't use this term lightly or in many situations, so believe me it is with great pleasure that I type "holy fucking shit."

This is amazing.

Yeah, this guy's been seeding these out as DVDs on dimeadozen for the past few years. Really incredible stuff. I understand these were uh, physically 'liberated' from the TV station that was holding the tapes.

Ah, those were the days when Music Pirates carried swords...

I was just telling the wife that Steve Wynn (of Dream Syndicate) is going to be doing a show here in town in a month and...this.

Awesome.

Q: Why do not more people love The Gun Club?

A: Because people are stupid and wrong and destined to disappoint.

(This is great! Thanks!)

Oh to grow up in a shitty Spanish town in Spain and be shown this on TV every weekend. I think you can relate.

I dunno. Growing up in suburban Illinois and having Night Flight felt kinda similar.

Interesting stuff. I did my first radio back in 83, so a lot of this stuff is very familiar. One band who seemed to HAVE IT ALL back then, but never quite kicked it to the next level was Echo + The Bunnymen. Link is to a different concert but man, they could do the dynamics ... and they had a string section.

Thank you thank you thank you! What a wonderful post.

The coverage of Nick Cave performing I put a Spell on You has just blown me away.
