What are "decent American values"? This has always confused me. I always thought they were democracy, capitalism, and an adventuring spirit. Is this page really talking about "family values"? And what exactly are those? I don't understand how someone who is trying to define their position can talk about such nebulous things.
To often it seems like "decent values" include things like anti-abortion and anti-gay ideas. Which to my mind makes them very intolerant and non-decent. And a list of family values always seems to exclude most people. posted by y6y6y6 at 6:42 AM on March 20, 2000
