I misread this as "John Cleese interviews William Gibson." That would have been... interesting.

I like John Cleese, but there is something that just annoys the shit out of me when he's being himself. He comes across as the most stuffy pretentious asshole I could imagine.

I did, too, b1tr0t. I'm kind of disappointed, now. I was really looking forward to it. I had imagined that when those two worlds collided, that it would result in the reincarnation of Douglas Adams!

Goldman's Adventures in the Screen Trade is a great book, both as a book about learning screenwriting and as plain and simple as a read.

God, for a second I read that as John Cleese interviews William Gibson. Now that is a collision of worlds I'd pay to see.

Ha, should have read the thread before posting. Looks like I wasn't the only one.

Okay, I misread this as John Cleese interviews William Golding, and expected a discussion of Lord of the Flies. Which would have been cool.

*I* read the post correctly.

There's a reason he (and Chapman) got most of those kind of roles on Python.

He also came off as a prick on the Meaning of Life commentary/docs, I thought.

I liked the interview a lot. Could have been four times longer. Thanks. Gotta find the Screen Trade book now.
