This was beaten to death years ago when Wingdings first appeared in Windows. I actually know the guy who assigned letters to the symbols and after he was done with the really obvious ones (the x in a box was assigned to the letter x, etc.) he just randomly assigned the rest and moved on to his next task.

It was only after it came out and people who look for this kind of nonsense started hunting that they found this and decided it was an incredibly obtuse hidden message. Get over it, you can find "patterns" in the nth letters of any book or try to associate the stars to the events in your life if you like Miss Cleo but you'll still be a fool for doing so.

What's even creepier is "WTC" in wingdings. Seems to be telling us we should all convert to catholicism when it starts snowing.

I can't quite figure out the webdings version -- something to do with hearing the boats in the harbor. Perhaps the next attack will be by sea?
