Via to donate $100M to WTC? Um, seems like it was a bad typo. Taipei Times' article now reads "$1M". Seemed too good to be true.

I think that may originally have been one hundred million Taiwanese dollars, rather than one hundred million US dollars. I think the exchange rate is about a hundred to one. posted by Steven Den Beste at 12:22 PM on September 17, 2001
