"Test tube kitten baby?" [SLYT]

Filmmaker Daniel Boneschansker says:

A short film I made for Foundation Video class, as taught by Kathleen Tetlock at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design (NSCAD University). Based on an idea developed by Philip Drost and myself.

Um. The shots of the kitten-baby were really jumpy. Like, they had to edit together 4 shots to make a single sentence. That was distracting.

Otherwise, an interesting reminder that we all just want to be like everyone else. (When we're not preoccupied with wanting to be totally unique)

I don't get the creeps too often, but every once and a while something or someone gives me the heebie-jeebies. This was one of those times.

That cat is doing a remarkable impression of This American Life contributor David Rakoff.

I wonder if Daniel Boneschansker had anything to do with this film.

It's weird that the CNN bit looks like it was archival footage. I'd hate for my tragedy to become a plot point in a youtube video.

For the most part I liked this.

They need a sequel with just the cat going on about things like licking itself, sunlight, catnip and laser pointers.

This was a foundation video class project? These people have more talent and commitment than the Pratt kids put together.

Which one? The cat's or the "narrator"?

But yeah, that video was a little... Not unsettling, but not plain old weird. Somewhere in between, with a little bit of uncomfortable thrown into the mix. Probably due to the cat's voice.
