She just released her Christmas record, which is maybe not the best Christmas record you have ever heard in your life.

There were a lot of rocker dogs. You know, I want rock! My favorite were the ones in the front row—the droolers. They had all been really primed because for one week before the show, all of the owners had been like, “We are going to a concert just for you—you are going to love it."

Laurie Anderson and David Rothenberg discuss how animals use, experience, and respond to music, including the concert for dogs Anderson and husband Lou Reed put on in 2010 at the Sydney Opera House featuring a piece composed for canine ears.

A concert for dogs, that's brilliant. I love that they finished with a howling number and the audience joined in.

It was for wise for Ms. Anderson to instruct everyone to tell their dogs for a week in advance that they were going to a concert for dogs. Dogs hate surprise fun outings.

Laurie, if you do decide to take the show on the road, avoid venues with mosh pits.

Lou Reed also just recorded an album with Metallica. Talk about going to the dogs.

I blame the singularity. It's the only excuse I can find for Kid Rock and the Butthole Surfers to ever record together.

I Wanna Be Your Dog
Diamond Dogs
Hound Dog

If I had a dog I would have gone to this.
