Dog and Deco

Dog and Deco. My name is Pickles McConchie. I’m a 15 year old Art Deco and camera loving Terrier from Scotland. I like to travel the country with my bitch and pose in front of art deco factories and industrial buildings from the 1920s, 30s and 40s, as well as other twentieth century architectural gems.

Is it my imagination, or does Pickles have a distinct look of scorn on his face? Does he really like these buildings, or is he just filled with rage that the beauties of the past have been neglected for trashy current architectural fads? Does this terrier correspond with Prince Charles?

I am amused but also angry that Scottish Terrier seems to be having a more interesting life than I am.

Wish that dog would get out of the way so I could see the Deco.

Reminds me of the traveler from Asia who thought it would be cute to pose a stuffed piglet in her photos of the European landmarks she visited, but failed to grasp some important historical connotations.

This is so much more awesome in my head than in execution. Scruffy, sad dog. Worn, sad deco buildings.

The British use of brick for art deco buildings is a very distinctive and northern thing and omg look it the puppy!

Terriers are made out of fur and scorn.

Looks more like a look of zen to me than a look of scorn.

Gucky: Scruffy, sad dog. Worn, sad deco buildings.

a) That's what a terrier looks like. b) The dog and the buildings both look great to me.

I think that's just his picture face.

i'm going to go ahead and call this post crap. in the year 2011, metafilter needs something *really special* if you're going to post a "[cute animal] + [random thing]" thread.

No, he just looks bored. Try to take any photo with your dog and they'll just look bored. Or start licking NSFW parts of their anatomy. At least we have been spared those shots....
