Also this is a pretty weak excuse for a post. Well that was a pretty weak "excuse" for a comment ... I am curious--why "excuse"? Why not simply "a pretty weak post"? The term "excuse" connotes "shitass" to me more than"pretty weak," i.e. this "excuse of a post" doesn't come close to meeting the standard of quality that the real, valuable, insightful, and generally FANTASTIC MetaFilter posts do. /rawr I'm amazed (and generally pleased) at some of the posts that last these days.
