Ditto, the tutorial that takes ~12 minutes to complete had me sick of the game before it even started. I wanted this to be funner.

Skip the tutorial because the game is pretty simple. Just make sure you get upgrades at the castle. You can grind as much as you want by re-playing the same level.

I played this a couple weeks ago and have to say that I eventually found a setup that works for every level without having to pay any attention, which was simultaneously very satisfying and very unsatisfying. YMMV.

Tired of tower defense games?

No, but thanks for asking.

Mind you, I'll still play this one.

It's a great idea, but the game is a bit of a grindfest.

Yeah, Sanctum hasn't nearly worn out its welcome yet.

Sanctum?

Played the tutorial level of this and poked around a bit, and I like the leveling aspect so far, although there does seem to be a bit of grinding involved, at least at the beginning. I could see playing more. And yeah, I skipped the actual tutorial, but read the walkthrough.

I also wonder if it's anything like Anomaly: Warzone Earth? Which was billed as another reverse tower defense.

I bought Sanctum for myself and several friends during the Steam sale, and am just trying it out. First-person FPS/TD a great idea, but the first few waves of attackers remind me inordinately of the Stupid Rat Creatures from Bone. Which makes them almost too endearing to kill.

Er, First-Person First-Person Shooter. Was really what I meant. It's a new genre--probably haven't heard of it.

I played this for about half a day a few weeks ago. It's cute enough, the concept is clever, and it wasted about half a day getting all the upgrades, beating all the levels on gold and getting all the Kongregate badges.

It does involve some grinding, but once you've got a system it's pretty solid for all the levels, and it wasn't obscene amounts of grinding - like I said, I spent about half a day on it at most.

Yeah. It is kinda grindy. But I just wasted a good hour without noticing. Suitably addictive.

OK, I just wasted 4 hours and now I have a bunch of fake gold medals. The day is mine Trebek. Boy does my throne room look good though.

I played this a bit last night. I did not find it too grindy, especially when I remembered to go back to the earlier levels and get the gold medal (and extra cash). It also helped that I stumbled on the 2 secrest $2000 rooms in the castle early on when that kind of cash is extremely useful. (hint: they are at the bottom)

It's OK, but it just reminds me I want a proper full-length follow-up to Cursed Treasure.
