That island house used to be used when the people of Heimaey Island (Home Island) used to have to gather puffin each summer for food. No one lives in these houses anymore, they just wasting away. Shame - they could be a wonderful tourism get-a-way. Not that staying on Heimaey Island isn't great, but these little islands around it should be utilized as well.
Puffin, as food, is horrible. The folks that live on Vestmannaeyjar islands speak of the puffin eating period of their history as just something they did to get by. Now because of the prime location for fishing, they are doing just fine without puffin - as far as I could tell. I don't know if this is right, but doesn't tin-eye work mostly from file name? It seems like whenever I put something that's been mangled by the imgur uploader into it (even if it's fairly common) it comes back with no results.
