Also interesting is this exploration of Lautner houses in Los Angeles Plays Itself, an utterly hypnotic (if a bit overlong) video essay detailing the depiction of Los Angeles in the last century of film.

Looks like some generous soul uploaded the whole thing to YouTube, which is nearly cause for a FPP of its own...

This is great, I have noticed a lot of those houses in movies, but I never realized they were the same designer.
