A Liquid Breakfast for the Ears

Fluid Radio stream experimental frequencies into the ether. Channel 2 is especially worth a listen, flowing forth a fairly constant warm wash of haunting melancholy and mellow fruitiness in post folk and post rock form. The reviews on the site appear to be written by an offspring of Monty Cantsin and Rrose Sélavy: I don't know what they're saying, but the reading of them brings zen-like quietude.

Did you mean aether?

Much though I laughed at the pretentious wankery of the near-greyed out images on the home page (I assume this is deliberate and not a rendering error at my end) I have to say I'm loving the sound of Channel 2. Mournful acoustic mind's ear-bendery that works perfectly with the view of frigid summer rain currently washing over the Alps outside my window...

Slightly different mythology, I was meaning the ether with Debussy in it :D

Yes. Pretentious wankery. I'm having exactly the same thought.

If you're wondering who is the one person that rated channel one with a 5.. it's me

And I just discovered that Monty Cantsin and Karen Eliot have never had fpps.

Part way into a 2nd day at work now, still listening to Channel 2. To be as unequivocal and antiflippant as possible - this is a gem of a webradio station; thank you very much for the post.

I've had the enjoyably weird experience twice now that the stream has glitched into skipping, or slowed down distortion, and it's taken me a good few seconds longer than it would with most music to realise that it's not a deliberate effect.

Good stuff, thanks. (LOVE Sharon Van Etten) (Anybody got a good stream saving player? I used to use QCD, but stream saving hasn't been working for me lately ...)
