All it needs is a matching pair of pumps

Vimeo user Charlie Bucket has created a "Fluid Dress" made from 600 feet of plastic tubing, throughout which courses a controlled mixture of air and fluorescent liquid. The result is quite fascinating (SLVimeo)

I hope you are brought to account for the pun in the title.

Cool! Wonder how heavy it is (600' of tubing + backpack).

That's sort of along the lines of this Bon Yurt commercial.

If he had gone with a one-tubed dress he could have made an awesome crazy straw, though that would probably result in a lot of heads collapsed in upon themselves.

Backpack? Absurd. Clearly you should have your servant carry the pump for you.

Having someone actually where the thing would have been impressive.

Yeah, unless someone actually wears it, it's just a dress-shaped sculpture.

Cool, but I wish the video wasn't sped up. Makes for a cool video, but I also want to see what it looks like in real time. Also...Holy Patience Batman! Can't imagine how long it took to get all the loops and swirls right in the tubing. Color me impressed!

Pfft. You can get the same effect, sans dress, with a few Big Gulp cups of Radioactive iodine (or Lake Ontario water.)

This would be a lot more impressive if the video showed someone actually wearing the dress.

it's just a dress-shaped sculpture.

The poster says in the comments that people have worn the dress, but "I'm pretty sure the models' union would sue me over the filming conditions." It was also an aesthetic choice: "Besides practical reasons, I think I prefer having it on the dress form for this video. If no one is wearing it, then anyone can wear it...you know?"

In the comments the poster says the video isn't sped up: "It's all displayed in real-time without any post-processing, except for the intro and outro sequences which are mostly sped up."

Make it in red, and the person wearing it could literally stop traffic.

No Windigo, it's an idea, a concept.

I, Charlie Bucket, have become the world's undisputed master of fluid transport!

He had plenty of Oompa-Loompas to help him.

I realize that. This is why I majored in illustration & not fine arts. I was never a big one for much conceptual art.
