Calling the West Bank "occupied territory" and referring to "1967 borders" are "not politically correct." (SLYT) Israel's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, and former ambassador to the USA, Danny Ayalon, explains the history behind the West Bank. According to him, it is more accurately a "disputed territory," not an "occupied territory."

So...Jordan was "occupying" the area, but Israel isn't? Come on, this is just propaganda.

Starting a war, and losing it, has to have consequences. I'm not arguing for "right of conquest," but surely there's some room for "if you keep hitting me with that stick, I'm going to take it away."
That said, the current second-class status of the occupied territories is deplorable. We can deplore it while recognizing the fucked up history that got us here.
