So, these aren't shown on like regular Thai television, are they? I don't think I could stand being bombarded with these at any random moment watching TV.

It's not Thai, but rather Tai(wan), but as a motorcyclist, I'm particularly fond of Dream Rangers, an ad for a bank, of all things. I want to be a cynic and say "a bank, of all things," but riding a motorbike makes you stupidly sentimental sometimes. They do good glurge in Asia, to be sure.

I watched 1 and 2 and am mystified as to how life insurance would have been helpful in either situation.

Near the end, the subtitles said something along the lines of "take the best care of your loved ones." You know, with the life insurance.

Haven't you seen the SPCA commercials? I get kind of angry about those. It's great you want me to save the world, but you need to tell me how, and "give us all your money and/or adopt EVERY ANIMAL, EVER" aren't really options for me, and so I just feel absolutely miserable and guilty.
Used to be you'd only see them on late at night, but nowadays they seem to have made inroads into all hours. I barely watch TV and I still catch them at least once a month. It's killing me.

The SPCA ads kill me, and make me glad I only watch my television through the sweet, sweet time-manipulating filter of TiVo, because whenever I'm stuck watching TV old-school at a friend's house or in a hotel room, I end up hollering at the set, "God-fucking-dammit, Sarah McLachlan, I've adopted three abandoned/abused/problem dogs already! How many dogs am I supposed to adopt! Do you want me to be a dog hoarder!? Stop playing that sad song and making me look at sad dogs!"
Sheesh. I do, however, scorn the shit out of anyone in my presence who'd even consider buying a dog from a breeder, so that's the best I can do.
