As a man with long, thick long hair, having a corresponding beard makes you not look regal but amazingly pedestrian. I'm not sure why; perhaps with the fact that it appears that all personal grooming has gone by the wayside? Or that the fact that the owner thinks it looks good, by which in fact it doesn't?
