I like to think people who work on iPads have jobs like in 90's movies where the people writing the script for the effects didn't really know how a UI worked.
"Dragging and dropping orders from clients to shipping, and then packages from shipping to clients! Gee, this sure is hard work!"
Then the four year old walks in and picks up the mouse like a microphone and says "Delete all files," and the computer does it with no prompts or anything. If the movie is a really good movie, it shows an animation with a paper shredder.
