It's observational comedy. You see a picture of one cat taking a swipe at another cat over some food and you say to yourself "Yeah, my cat does that all the time. Itz so cute when ze cuddly kitties rip into each other." I wouldn't be surprised if appreciation of this sort of is-there-a-joke-in-there-somewhere-anthropomorphic-drivel turned out to be a heretofore unknown side-effect of toxoplasmosis. posted by le morte de bea arthur at 7:07 AM on August 5, 2011 [4 favorites]

If you like this, then Peanutbutter & Jeremy may be up your scratching post. I don't want to hug every cat, but I would hug Peanutbutter. I suspect Dr. Cat might do something rash if hugged, so I would approach with caution. posted by GenjiandProust at 8:11 AM on August 5, 2011

I like cats with human charactaristics because actual humans have turned out to be pretty disappointing. And cats are always awesome. posted by mintcake! at 8:46 AM on August 5, 2011 [3 favorites]
And they always spell "characteristics" correctly. Oy. posted by mintcake! at 8:47 AM on August 5, 2011
I think the funniest thing about thisw is imagining what cats would be like as doctors. Or maybe waht doctors would be like if they thought and acted like cats.
