Condolences to beloveds and fighting brothers...

Abbottabad could have gone this way... These 30 individuals, 22 from Navy Seal Team 6, are real action heroes, who go where they are told, often flying in by night. With unmitigated bravery, zeal and skill, they risk it all for our nation, for us. Regardless of how I feel about the processes of war making, I feel we have lost some very brave and talented people. I pray that they are now enfolded in a breathless light, full of grace, and looking back they both understand and forgive us our foibles. May their beloveds and fighting brothers and sisters, be comforted by their bravery and sacrifice. No team members were lost in this raid, who participated in the Bin Laden take-down.This valley sounds like a Klingon town, unhappily visited by current affairs. Those big helicopters must be easy prey, audible for miles across quiet, mountainous terrain.

Very gut wrenching news and I can't even imagine what the families of these brave men are going through right now. Loosing so many guys from such a small community has to have some sort of operational impact. RIP Sailors and Soldiers.

On a side note, I was sickened by reading the vile comments left by posters to Firedoglake concerning this sad event.
