Websites like Longform.org (and now this one, it looks like) are exactly the reason why I could have paid $50 dollars for the Instapaper app on my iPhone and I'd still be getting a killer deal. Thanks for sharing this. posted by Doleful Creature at 7:34 AM on September 1, 2011
Oh dear, I can tell that I am in for a long evening digging through this awesome-ness. Cool find! posted by honey-barbara at 7:40 AM on September 1, 2011
best cultural criticism on the web
Yes, golden, lovely, etc. - HOWEVER I was hoping they use more than the LA Times and NYT and Salon (etc.) as sources - I was hoping that they really did dig the Internet for small, indie cultural critics I would not have hit upon already in my rss feeds. posted by victors at 8:19 AM on September 1, 2011 [1 favorite]
Victors, there's a suggest a link button off to the left - it might be worth turning their heads from the very beginning. posted by Ahab at 8:34 AM on September 1, 2011
My reaction was similar to victors - for my interests and background it's a bit too US-centric - but I do appreciate the idea and perhaps it will broaden out as time goes on. posted by Abiezer at 8:58 AM on September 1, 2011
Not to be overly critical, but that is an ugly-ass website. posted by jessssse at 9:14 AM on September 1, 2011

Not to be overly condescending but sites like this and longform are meant to be feeders to Instapaper. posted by victors at 9:25 AM on September 1, 2011
I am delighted that all the articles that consist of "So, thing. ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME likes/hates thing." are going to be here, outside of my queue with longform and give me something to read. posted by jscott at 9:32 AM on September 1, 2011
I like the appearance of these curated guides online. I think I still prefer The Browser. posted by vacapinta at 9:33 AM on September 1, 2011 [2 favorites]

Sorry for the threadjack, but has anyone actually gotten Instapaper -> Kindle delivery working? After taking the advice here and switching the authorized email to "@instapaper.com", I at least got manual deliveries working. But the automatic deliveries have never come through. posted by roll truck roll at 12:00 PM on September 1, 2011
