Song ID Ninjas?

Terrible vocal rendition of a popular song Ok, some of you are just plain talented with this stuff. My friend swears that this little ditty is from an ACTUAL song, but she has been trying to remember which song exactly for more than a month now... I'd like to ID the song before she does, and taunt her with the knowledge (like any good friend would do) just to watch her squirm! Here's some context for you (that may or may not help...) -(Maybe Michael Jackson) -"In like, the scenes of a movie, when people are driving in New York for the first time!" -"It's like, an eighties song!" -"Like, the brass instruments, and stuff!" That's all I've got for you. If you can pull this off....Well....I'll consider you the Ken Jennings of pop music. P.S. I understand the "don't link to stuff you created" mantra of MetaFilter, but I think you'll agree, I'm not doing this for any type of personal/commercial gain - the audio link is essential for the conveyance of my question! :) Thanks so much! :)

Definitely not Batman or Flight of the Bumblebee, although that's definitely what it sounds like to me... This particular friend is actually quite the connosseiur (sp?) of music - I'm surprised she can't figure it out! I thought she was completely mad until another common friend said that she had heard the song too but couldn't ID it!

????

Also, the portion included in the audio file is (presumably) the beginning of the song, "with the brass instruments, and stuff"! :)

P.S. As I will be showing this thread to my friend some day, I should note that she's a gem and I think the world of her. But this ignorance has gone on long enough! :)
