ZaCker.vbs contains instructions to delete all files in the WINDOWS directory, add a FORMAT C: command to the AUTOEXEC.BAT file, display a message box containing the text "I promiss We WiLL Rule The World Again...By The Way,You Are Captured By ZaCker !!!", and exit Windows

User is then prompted to shit his pants.

virus-writers deserve terrible punishments, bastards (yes, I should really get some anti-virus software one day =). Leave hackers alone, they're just curious folk..

Sad Otter :That legislation is pretty excessive. Does virus writing really equate with murder or terrorism?

Sure they deserve punishment but that is way over the top!!

I think this can actually be a good thing. Here are some unsettling stats and predictions:

1 in 1400 emails contained a virus in 1999

1 in 700 emails contained a virus in 2000

1 in 300 emails contained a virus in 2001

1 in 100 emails predicted to contain a virus in 2004

1 in 10 emails predicted to contain a virus in 2008

Vote.exe is one of those rare destructive viruses. It'll trash your system and make you feel like a fool for running it. SirCam, Melissa, Loveletter, etc were all very benign and didn't make too much of an impression on the end user.

The chronic office forwarders, you know who you are, never learned their lesson and went about like it was 1993. Eventually playtime will be over and people will have to be seriously scared of opening executables amd download the proper patches. The quicker playtime is over the better off everyone else is.

Eep alright!

Just read the article about the proposed Anti-Terrorism-Act that sad_otter posted a link to. Life imprisonment for writing a virus? With no parole! Well over the top.

Is this act likely to be approved by Congress in its present form? I'm from UK so it's hard to judge. It seems way too hard line to me.
