Differences between Personal Trainers and Fitness Instructors Had a interested conversation with my buddy the other day about getting fit for Christmas and whether or not I should pay someone to motivate us. We assumed that Personal Trainers and Fitness instructors were the same, we were totally wrong and this article from a personal trainer in manchester tells it like it is.
Apparently personal trainers hate it when you call them fitness instructors

Gym Instructors are educated to REPS level 2 and Personal Trainers are required to re educated to REPS Level 3. You can train to be level 2 qualified in a few weeks whereas level 3 qualification takes at least 2 months of full time study.
A few weeks instead of eight weeks. Sorry I called you nurse, doctor.
