Movie Review Query Engine Encompassing old-hat IMDB data and scores more sources, the Movie Review Query Engine is estimable. Like ISBN.nu, its scope is vast and it seems to be a single-person operation (here, Stewart Clamen).

A very impressive site. The database seems pretty extensive now, sure to only get better...I didn't try too hard, but couldn't stump it yet.

I was able to stump it! It still doesn't have the same depth as the IMDB, some obscure movies it is missing:

Weatherwoman: Awesome cult japanese film ("a gleefully bizarre S&M martial arts fantasy")
Note: this film is popular enough to merit recent DVD release

Also, Seven Samauri is only listed under it's japanese name (Shichinin no samurai).

Still it is fast and uncluttered, and mostly complete. I am a bit tired of the IMDB, so I will give it a shot!

I used to have all my favorite films listed on my site and linked to their appropriate entry on this site (I missed Weatherwoman, somehow, apparently). I've always found it very useful.

He doesn't seem to link to Filthy. Hopefully, this oversight will be corrected soon.

MRQE looks good, but I use RottenTomatoes.com (which is not similar to MRQE) for all my movie-reviews needs. (example)

LOL, I just noticed that at the bottom of the movie-review pages over at RottenTomatoes.com, it says:

Certain "[MovieTitleHere]" article data provided by the Movie Review Query Engine.

So, nothing beats MRQE now.
