Ghost of Gone Birds. Over 100 artists were invited to choose an extinct bird and produce a piece of art inspired by that particular bird and celebrating its glory days. Birds celebrated in the show include the Dodo, the Matinique Amazon Parrot, the Black Mamo and the Great Auk.

ghosts of gone birds
they fly... through my window
lay eggs... on my pillow
leave feathers... round my bedside
ghosts of gone birds

ghosts of gone birds
their songs announce the morning
the sound of their wings beating
a rhythm of extinction
ghosts of gone birds

ghosts of gone birds
i'll follow their migrations
i'll join their flock of shadows
i'll be a fading memory
ghosts of gone birds
ghosts of gone birds
ghosts of gone birds

That is great. It's particularly nice to see the Great Auks in pursuit of fish because sometimes they come off as just a comical bird when they're on land. Like the Dodo unfortunately.
