Crazy (quilt) to the max!

Pin Tangle is the blog of Australian quilter Sharon Boggon, whose style is decidedly maximalist. Her crazy quilt projects include a lace quilt (current a work in progress) and a "I drop the button box" quilt made with 2001 different elements and hand embroidered seams. Some of the blocks I like best: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 789.

I like the pattern of the completed quilt "I drop the button box" - I clicked expecting it to be far more random but when seen as a whole, I was surprised to find the sense of ocean and waves. Thanks for the link

Good lord, that's stunning. I do like the individual squares more than the overall look of the assembled quilt, but holy cow, I could spend 20 minutes on each square appreciating the detail. They really are a feast for the eyes.

This is so fabulous! Thank you for sharing it. I have a deep love of quilting that stems from my aunt's superb quilting abilities.
