We demand a vapid, condescending, meaningless, politically safe response to this petition. will probably hit 25,000 signatures soon, reaching the latest signature threshold where a response from the White House is required.
The White House has previously ignored marijuana petitions (e.g.), and puppy mills, but has swiftly replied to the question of Aliens among us.

This post was deleted for the following reason: Kind of amusing, but really, we still have open threads on the aliens and the marijuana petition, so this seems like fairly well-trod ground at this point, and better in one of the other threads. -- taz

Let me say this. Almost every way that people have tried to use technology to improve our lives began with silly stuff. I applaud our need to send messages to the top in order to effect change at the bottom. The first efforts are going to be silly, but the idea is a good one.
