「こくせん ― 黒板戦争」(Blackboard War) is a homemade stop motion video created by some students (out of more than 2500 still photos) for their school's culture festival. There is also a sequel (made from more than 3000 photos this time).

I demand a Making-Of video.

I also demand a Making Of. How did they do the "floating horizontally" stuff in the...library?

(Also, for some reason this video hung my browser about a minute from the end, even after restarting my browser. I hope they weren't trying to jump through the screen at me.)

Very fun. I also want to know how they did the floating stuff. I thought it was just pictures of someone mid-jump, but that seems not to be the case.

The first floating can be mid-jump shots, but I don't think the horizontal stuff could be. Unless they spent a LOT of time diving headfirst towards each other?

Gets better and better so stay with it. The Pac-Man sounds were a nice touch.

It could be, but 1) it's pretty high, and at a pretty consistent height, and they go a far way; 2) the face of the jumping guy looks very serene in ever shot.

The consistency and serenity is explainable by just doing do-overs for any shot that comes out bad. The horizontal thing is harder to visualize.

You see how Grey Sweater flies downstairs with his feet up? That is exactly how I do it my dreams.

The second one has some things that are even harder to understand. How did that one guy do that incredible leap in the air? Or jump from one building to the other?

Ask a breakdancer (prev).

The horizontal thing looks like they're lying on something and then photoshopping it out - there's a telltale smear underneath both kids.
