Believing in Santa Claus is a time honored childhood tradition. Parents of young children go to some painstaking ends to keep this belief alive. In a small New York town, parental efforts were usurped by a second grade teacher who felt the need to inform her class that Santa does not exist and Christmas presents were bought by their parents.

This was not the only Santa faux pas of the week, just ask Chicago children tuning in to the local Fox affiliate.
