I don't know what it is about my childhood love of Calvin and Hobbes.. I so deeply respected Watterson's position. Any representation of Calvin and Hobbes that didn't come from Watterson's hand simply does not count. What's the sense? Just open up one of the books. This is not Calvin and Hobbes. As much as I'd love to appreciate it I simply can't. It's sort of like Kermit with the fake voice. Am I alone on this? posted by ReeMonster at 11:41 PM on December 16, 2011 [1 favorite]
No, there's nine people who agree with you on YouTube...
That being said, this is a tribute, and a rather lovely one as well. It doesn't pretend to be the genuine article. posted by Harald74 at 12:02 AM on December 17, 2011 [7 favorites]

When I was overseas for a year, my dad cut Calvin and Hobbes out of the paper everyday, dated them, and posted them to me. posted by kjs4 at 4:15 PM on December 18, 2011
