Amazon, huh?

Amazon, huh? Google pops Amazon one. "When’s the last time Amazon recommended a book based on your actual interests, not a bunch of data they’ve fashioned into a half-assed consumer profile of you?"

This post was deleted for the following reason: Yeah, this has nothing to do with Google, and won't make any impact since no one will install it anyway... -- mathowie

Not really google, but some dude who owns a bookstore.

"The extension was created by the owner of Marcus Bookstores, a small chain in San Francisco and Oakland."

Aside from the fact that it's a Chrome plugin, Google isn't involved.

That's not "From Google", it's a chrome extension, similar to a firefox adon created by a small bookstore.

Yeah, Google is not involved in this at all. Plus, I'm not really sure what the point of this extension is unless, as the post suggests, you install it on someone else's computer.

Awww I came to complain about since I ordered once from a local merchant, I see ads for them everywhere Google puts them, several times a day, to the point that I now hate this local merchant. So I was goin to be all Google AdSense, huh? But it turns out the framing of the post is all wrong, so never mind.
