Counterparties is a nice little collection of curated and tagged economic news stories, 5-8 every day. It is edited in part by the admirable (and MetaFave) financial journalist Felix Salmon.

Salmon is one of the best out there. Counterparties is excellent- he's created something that will hopefully survive him.

Honestly, I am a little irritated with the overuse of the term "curated"
I am certainly sensitive to irritation with cliches. What term do you suggest for carefully selecting a few important links to highlight for the average reader?

I don't understand. Why isn't each and every day just 5-8 links to Dealbreaker?

The answer is in the question: selected would work. As would chosen, picked etc.
