All Over But for the Crying
Does anyone really stand a chance against this sort of American might?

This is truly pathetic. I used to have some modicum of respect for Dre, but now I have none. "Kill bin Laden?" If this story is true, and that indeed is the title, then America is an even sicker place than I ever suspected. No doubt the song will be as big a hit as "I'll be Missing You", that trite shite tribute to a thug no-one had heard of before Puffy martyrised him.

Glad to see, however, that just as the Onion predicted, we've lost our momentary facade of unity and sensitivity in favour of the same old stupid bullshit.

Hasn't this Dre guy ever heard of the Hippocratic Oath? Hmph. Not much of a doctor, if you ask me...

I don't know . . . I actually think it's about time someone with this much media clout grew a spine, threw his balls onto the scale, and said what most of us are already thinking anyways.

Dre doesn't appreciate other thugs steppin in his hood.

Dre's steppin up for the rest of us which is a lot more than you can say about other rappers.

I hope Snoop steps in for a swing at that punk bitch too.

Any of you guys hear that song "Because I was High"? They did a parody of it, and the new song is "Osama Must Die." Actually, a much better song than the original.

Anyway, I don't see anything wrong with Dr. Dre's song, and think he should have the freedom to do it. If you don't agree, then don't buy it, but I bet it will be a hit. They did the same thing in the weeks leading up to the execution of Timothy McVay, does anyone think that was out of taste? Maybe not, maybe so, but everyone has the right and ability to sensor themselves, not other people.

More proof that Dr. Dre is a deeply thoughful person.

I am proud to say I have never bought any of his recordings.

Just what America needs now: Throw more fuel into the hatred furnace.

Oh boy.

p.s. By the way, Dre is right. At least he isn't wondering what's going on, covering "What's Going On" like all those other pussified entertainers. Killing bin Laden isn't assassination; it is a moral imperative.

It's kinda neat and reassuring in a way. If only it would remain *just the thugs* who would duke it out. Our badasses versus theirs. Something like that. . .

At this moment in time, October 4, 2001, Americans are demanding Dr. Dre be given the freedom of speech to record a song which demands that a man be murdered. Meanwhile, other Americans are being fired, insulted, threatened and blacklisted for speaking out against what they believe is unnecessary violence. Mark this, because it's important.
