Suffering from post holiday depression? Forget that trip to the pharmacy to pick up the SSRI's, this should take care of everything.

Dogs have circuitry? I'm going to try to find the batteries in mine as soon as I get home from work!

I was going to joke that it was a viral for Bud until I noticed this in the tags: Budweiser (Anheuser-Busch)

Flagged. No way to tell if this is even remotely real and not an awesome enough fake to cover the ad.

I wasn't depressed until I saw that.

Behind the Scenes

Burhanistan, I find your cynicism novel and refreshing.

Man that dog was just grooving, diggin some tunes with his bros, just hangin with the guys, being dudes and jamming on guitar. Seems pretty happy, wish I was happy like that dog, just chillin. I could go for a bud light. Yeah, sounds good, just a bud light, some tunes and my best bud.

And I thought the Grinch had headed back to the mountain cave, guess he stopped in here to harsh a bit of mellow....

Oddly enough, the "Behind the Scenes" link pushed me even further into Burhanistan's camp.

Wow, that Drew video is even more depressing than the idea that this might be viral. Bro.

Man, why does everyone have to shit all over it and dissect it? It's a video of a doggy looking like he's grooving to some guitar. Even if it's fake, it's fun. It's ok to like stuff now and then, you know.

Well it has three things in it mefites don't like, bud light, dogs, and someone having fun.

Should be a cat, some sort of microbrew, and someone enjoying a good book or episode of Doctor Who.

I kid guys, I kid.... But really.. It would be better with a cat.. And Doctor Who

Doesn't matter if he wasn't a Bud Light representative, just a drinker, but if Anheuser-Busch doesn't send him several cases (and a case of Scooby Snacks for the dog), then THEY are the Grinch.

Also, without the blue can, the yellow dog in front of the yellow wall would've been just too much.

Do Dogs Smile?

Consensus reply: maybe. It depends on the dog.

I think what the dog was enjoying was not so much the music itself - it was just happy to be included in the activity. Here it was down in the basement, hangin' with the guys (as Ad hominem said), listening to guitar noises. It may not understand what guitar noises are for, but it knows that humans like them, and hey! This human is making guitar noises just for him. Awesome!

Being jokey about replacing psych meds with cutesy videos does a disservice to those that truly need said meds. Not worthy of a callout, but IMHO it needed to be said.

I've been on anti-anxiety meds for years, and most days my cats still make me feel better than the goddamn pills.

Well, I wasn't depressed until I got to the comments. Then I remembered that humanity is losing its ability to enjoy anything ever, having replaced fun with the pursuit of being the most vociferous and malicious in their utter disdain for anything presented to them.

Also, I love this video and have watched it several times on repeat because it makes me happy. DEAL WITH IT.

I am guessing that those of you that have your panties all bunched up about the ssri comment have probably never found solice on a bad day by sticking your face into the thick fur of a Husky and inhaling the calming scent of pure dog and ,through that act, found peace and perspective. I feel bad for you, I sincerely hope someone drops a puppy off at your house,

This is super, SUPER dismissive of some legitimate issues and I say that as someone who is both bipolar and a lover of puppies and bunnies. Also, I think it would be great if we could refrain from using the phrase "panties all bunched up" which is both dismissive and pretty misogynistic.

I ignored the Bud Light can when I first watched this.

My initial impression was that the dog was displaying some kind of nervous reaction to that type of sound. Like blinking if something comes close to his eye, or drooling at the smell of food, or pumping his leg when he's getting scratched. I don't equate a dog enjoying something to a dog smiling. A dog enjoying something will wag his tail, jump around and bark happily. Smiling just seems weird.

Oh well, I'm not a "dog person" though I do like dogs.
