		<description>I can heartily endorse the &quot;make things up&quot; recommendation.  I&apos;ve found that the more I make things up, the more people seem to pay attention.

I should probably be depressed about this.  Since it indicates I have to lie to make my life interesting.  But somehow it just becomes too satisfying and addictive.  Soon I will be chronicling my sex parties with Al and Tipper Gore in Tijuana.</description>

		<description>I, myself, decided not to bother with a traditional web log because I simply don&apos;t have enough to say. When the urge to write strikes me, I write an essay and add it to my &quot;essays&quot; page. The rest of the time I work on my CDMA FAQ, which at least is useful.

In fact, I&apos;m grateful for MetaFilter, because when I do find something I feel like linking to I can do it here, and no longer feel frustrated. So except for a few links relating to CDMA, I don&apos;t even have a &quot;favorite links&quot; page on my web page. For instance, I don&apos;t have a link to &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.perp.com/whale&quot;&gt;blowing up a dead whale with dynamite&lt;/a&gt; or &lt;a href=&quot;http://ghg.ecn.purdue.edu&quot;&gt;starting a charcoal grill with five gallons of liquid oxygen&lt;/a&gt; even though I actually know the URLS.</description>
