Your Paintings will eventually show all of the UK's national collection of 200,000 oil paintings. They are about halfway there at the moment.

Paintings owned by the state and local authorities together with those held in charitable trusts for the benefit of the public make up the national collection shown on the Your Paintings website

This is extremely disappointing. My kid did a wonderful painting which we've displayed on our refrigerator and they won't show it. They say "Your Paintings", but they don't understand that my kid is a genius.

"Help us tag the nation's paintings."

Sounds like an invitation to vandalism.

This work is held in a private collection. I would advise throwing your fridge open to the public under charitable trust, or donating the work to the National Gallery.

This is a pretty fabulous project, invaluable for schools.

Do wish they were higher resolution pics though.

Thanks. Found a favorite I found once and only had a brief moment to view. I've wanted to examine it closely for years. It's this Annunciation. I guess that architecture is Florence?
