16-year-old Jack Jablonski, hockey player at Benilde-St. Margarets high school in St. Louis Park, MN suffered a paralyzing hit from behind while playing nearby Wayzata in a JV hockey match. According to the Star Tribune, Jablonski's spinal cord was severed at the neck and two vetebrae were fractured. The teen's long-term prognosis will be clearer after spinal fusion surgery. At the time, he isn't moving. His family has set up a Caring Bridge site in his name.
