Draper Prize 2012

Flat screen display technology pioneers recognized. The 2012 Charles Stark Draper Prize will be awarded to T Peter Brody, George H. Heilmeier, Wolfgang Helfrich, and Martin Schadt for the development of LCD display technology. Considered the engineering equivalent of the Nobel, the prize is awarded annually by the National Academy of Engineering. Previous winners include Vint Cerf, John Backus and Tim Berners-Lee.
