Beyond Dali (and all those Melting Watches)

The first major U.S. exhibition of international surrealist art in many years, 250 works by 80 artists from 20 countries, assembled by friends of mine, opened over the weekend in Reading PA. (Reading itself is not very surrealistic, but it does have a 100-year-old, 620-foot pagoda.) The show is dedicated to the memory of Chicago surrealist Franklin Rosemont (1943-2009), who when he died was remembered mostly by the anarchists and socialists. Some images from the exhibition. And accompanying texts.

This post was deleted for the following reason: Unless there's some serious confusion here about who is speaking, "assembled by friends of mine" means this is not something you can post to metafilter. -- cortex
